On August 8, there was a brief power outage at the NASA Advanced Supercomputing (NAS) facility. While the facility power was quickly restored, it resulted in a loss of power for major systems, including:

• Pleiades
• Cabeus
• Milan nodes
• /nobackup filesystems
• Lou mass storage tape libraries

Unfortunately, all jobs running on Pleiades, Cabeus, and the Milan nodes were lost.

The Aitken and Electra systems were unaffected, and no data was lost on the filesystems.

If your jobs were affected by this outage, please send a ticket to support@nas.nasa.gov and we will work with you to restore lost SBUs.

This afternoon we experienced a significant power anomaly at the NAS facility and are currently working to bring systems back online.
