There will be a suspend/resume for Pleiades, Electra, and Aitken, Cabeus, and all enclave service nodes, on Wednesday, June 26, from 8:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time (PT) to facilitate kernel patching and file system maintenance. The following services will be affected:

• Compute nodes and service nodes will not be available during this period, jobs cannot be submitted, and there will be no access to the Lustre file systems.
• Jobs on Pleiades, Electra, Aitken, and Cabeus compute nodes will be suspended at the beginning of the period and will be resumed at the conclusion of the period. There should be no other impact to these jobs. Jobs will be paused on these nodes prior to 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 26.
• The SFEs/SUPs, all compute front ends (PFEs) and Lou front ends (LFEs) will be unavailable during this period.

Special Note: An additional precaution will be set in place for the Portable Batch System (PBS) beginning Tuesday, June 25 at 8:00 a.m. PT. At that time, jobs that are submitted and/or queued that will not finish prior to 8:00 a.m. on June 26 (24-hour wall time) will not start, but will remain queued until the end of the dedicated time. This is a precautionary measure to mitigate potential issues for a scheduled chiller replacement during the dedicated time.
