Suspend/Resume for All Systems on Sept. 11

30 Aug, 2024

There will be a suspend/resume for Pleiades, Electra, Aitken, Cabeus, and all enclave service nodes on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time to facilitate kernel patching, file system maintenance, and additional work on the Electra chillers.

The following services will be affected:

  • Compute nodes and service nodes will not be available during this period, jobs cannot be submitted, and there will be no access to the Lustre file systems.
  • Jobs on Pleiades, Electra, Aitken, and Cabeus compute nodes will be suspended at the beginning of the period and will be resumed at the conclusion of the period. There should be no other impact to these jobs.
  • The SFEs/SUPs, all compute front ends (PFEs) and Lou front ends (LFEs) will be unavailable during this period.

See the article Running Jobs Before Dedicated Time in the Knowledge Base to learn how to manage your jobs to run before dedicated time.
