Suspend/Resume for All NAS Systems on Feb. 21 for Upgrades

05 Feb, 2024

There will be a suspend/resume for Pleiades, Electra, Aitken, Cabeus, and all Enclave service nodes, on Wednesday, February 21, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. (Pacific Time) to facilitate system upgrades and file system maintenance.

The following services will be affected:

  • Compute nodes and service nodes will not be available during this period, jobs cannot be submitted, and there will be no access to the Lustre file systems.
  • Jobs on the Pleiades, Electra, Aitken, and Cabeus compute nodes will be suspended at the beginning of the period and will be resumed at the conclusion of the period. Please note that we will begin pausing jobs on these nodes prior to 10:00 a.m. There should be no other impact to these jobs.
  • The secure front-ends (SFEs)/Secure Unattended Proxies (SUPs), Pleiades front ends (PFEs) and Lou front ends (LFEs) will be unavailable during this period.
