Update: Operating System Reverted on Pleiades Compute Nodes

19 May, 2014

Due to stability issues with the SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 Service Pack 3 (SLES11sp3) operating system (OS) on Pleiades nodes, the nodes have been reverted to the versions of the OS they were running prior to Thursday, May 15. That is, Westmere and Sandy Bridge nodes are reverting to SLES11sp1 and Ivy Bridge nodes are reverting to SLES11sp2.

If you have a currently running job that fails, please resubmit the job.

Note: Some codes that have been recompiled under SLES11sp3 will not run under sp1 or sp2. Pfe27 is still running SLES11sp1.  Log in to pfe27 if you need to recompile your codes for these older versions of SLES.
