The LDANs and one LFE system, lfe4, have been updated to SLES 12. However, upgrading lfe[1-3] has been postponed until an issue is resolved.

Previous notification

In advance of upgrading all Lou systems to SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12 (SLES 12), we have already upgraded one Lou front-end system (LFE) and one Lou data analysis node (LDAN) for testing purposes. 

During the testing period from February 22 - March 12, please test PBS jobs on the LDAN and software on lfe4. We plan to upgrade the remaining Lou systems on March 12.  

Note: Test jobs on the LDAN should not exceed four hours. Longer running jobs may be terminated, if necessary. Also, please note that while post-processing is not normally allowed on the LFEs, you can run post-processing software on lfe4 during the testing period.
