NASA Brings its Science and Supercomputing Advances to SC18

05 Nov, 2018

Some of NASA's most exciting achievements enabled by the agency's supercomputers are being showcased at the international Supercomputing Conference (SC18), scheduled Nov. 12–16, 2018 in Dallas, Texas. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the conference, with NASA one of the few organizations that has participated in the event every year since its inception in 1988. Among the many highlighted accomplishments that are enabled by the agency's supercomputing resources:

  • Building a better launch pad for NASA's most powerful rocket
  • Designing safer and quieter rotorcraft
  • Improving flood and drought forecasts
  • Shedding light on the origin of swirling disks in the galaxies

Check out the NASA SC18 website for complete details and live updates from the showroom floor.
