Sept. 22: Suspend/Resume for Pleiades, Electra, and Aitken; Dedicated Time for Endeavour and Merope

17 Sep, 2020

There will be a suspend/resume of jobs on Pleiades, Electra, and Aitken and dedicated time for Endeavour and Merope on Tuesday, September 22, from 10:00 a.m. – 11:59 p.m. (Pacific Time) for system patching. The following services will be affected:

  • During the suspend/resume period, Pleiades, Electra, Aitken, Endeavour, and Merope will not be available, jobs cannot be submitted, and there will be no access to the Lustre or NFS filesystems.
  • Jobs on Pleiades, Electra, and Aitken will be suspended at the beginning of the period and will be resumed at the conclusion of the period. There should be no other impact to these jobs.
  • Pleiades and Lou front ends (PFEs and LFEs) will be unavailable during this period.
  • Configuration changes to sshd on PFEs, LFEs, and other infrastructure systems will be made in line with NASA requirements. We do not anticipate user impact from these changes.
