NAS Network Interruptions on Sept. 17

10 Sep, 2020

On Thursday, September 17, connections to NAS networks will be interrupted multiple times, for approximately 30-minute periods, during a four-hour maintenance window (4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Pacific Time). During the interruptions:

  • There will be no traffic going into or out of the NAS networks.
  • File transfers into or out of the NAS networks will fail.
  • Existing interactive sessions will be disconnected.
  • Interactive PBS jobs will be killed. Batch (non-interactive) jobs will not be affected.
  • You will not be able to SSH to the secure front ends (SFEs) or Secure Unattended Proxy (SUP).

Note: Shift transfers should recover automatically, but can be restarted if errors do occur. See Shift Transfer Tool Overview for more information.
