Pleiades devel Queue Move to Separate Server

WHAT: A new server, pbspl3, will be set up to improve the scheduling time for the devel queue.

WHEN: During August 20-21 system outage

IMPACT:

Users will have to specify the server when submitting jobs to the devel queue:

$ qsub -q devel@pbspl3 <options and job script >

or set the environment variable PBS_DEFAULT to pbspl3:

$ setenv PBS_DEFAULT pbspl3 (csh)

$ export PBS_DEFAULT=pbspl3 (bash)

Likewise, users will also need to specify the server when using qstat:

$ qstat @pbspl3 <options>

$ qstat devel@pbspl3 <options>

Users can see all of their jobs with the -W combine option:

$ qstat @pbspl1  @pbspl3 -W combine -u <username>

Information on specifying servers is described in the HECC Knowledge Base article "Pleiades devel queue".

Users can also use the man qsub and man qstat commands for additional information.
