The operating system of all Pleiades compute nodes has been upgraded to TOSS4, the Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8-based Tri-Lab Operating System Stack Version 4. For important information about using systems in the TOSS4 environment, see Transition to TOSS 4 from TOSS 3 for Spring 2023.

Original Notification

The Pleiades compute nodes will be unavailable for an extended dedicated time to upgrade the operating system to TOSS4 to meet federal security requirements. The outage is scheduled for two weeks: from 8:00 a.m. Friday, May 5, 2023, through 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 17, 2023 (Pacific Daylight Time). For more information on system upgrades to TOSS4, see Transition to TOSS 4 from TOSS 3 for Spring 2023.

Both Aitken and Electra will be available during the Pleiades extended dedicated time. We can also work with you to run your job(s) on the cloud to meet critical deadlines.
