GPU Allocation Enforcement Starts November 7

31 Oct, 2023

On November 7 at 10:00 a.m. (Pacific Time), GPU allocation enforcement will be enabled. This means if you use (or plan to use) the GPU nodes (v100s) on the PBS server pbspl4, your project must have a GPU allocation.

If you are not sure whether you have a GPU allocation, run acct_ytd on any Pleiades front end (PFE) and look for gpu in the Host/Group column. For more information about using acct_ytd, see Job Accounting Utilities in the HECC Knowledge Base.

To Request a GPU Allocation

Principal Investigators (PIs) can request a GPU allocation through the HEC Request Management System (RMS). Projects that require both CPU-only and GPU resources can use both types of allocation request, but will require a separate request for each. If you have an existing project you would like to link to your new GPU allocation request, check the box at the top of the form and enter your GID.

Please request only the amount of resources you can reasonably use. You may request adjustments to your allocation through RMS at any time.
