Update: All Rome Nodes Change to TOSS 4 on Sept. 9

29 Aug, 2022

On Friday, September 9, at 8:00 a.m. (Pacific Time), due to NASA security requirements, the default operating system for all of Aitken's Rome nodes will be changed from TOSS 3 (Red Hat Enterprise Linux-based Tri-Lab Operating System Stack Version 3) to TOSS 4.

No new Aitken Rome jobs will be able to run on TOSS 3 after September 9. Jobs already running at that time will be allowed to complete.

The "testing_free" queue will remain available until September 9 and has access to several hundred Aitken Rome nodes running TOSS 4. Your account will not be billed for using nodes in this queue. You can submit up to two jobs with a maximum wall-time of 8 hours in the "testing_free" queue.

Please send any feedback to support@nas.nasa.gov.

If you have any questions or need assistance, please contact the NAS Control Room at (800) 331-8737, (650) 604-4444, or support@nas.nasa.gov.
