All NAS computing systems and the Lou mass storage system will be unavailable on Tuesday, November 8, from 6:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. (Pacific Time) to facilitate system patching.
The following services will be affected:
- Aitken, Pleiades, Electra, and Endeavour will not be available during this period. Jobs cannot be submitted, and there will be no access to the Lustre, NFS, or BeeGFS filesystems.
- Jobs running on Aitken, Electra, and Endeavour will be suspended for the duration and resumed when patching is complete. Interactive PBS jobs (jobs created with "qsub -I") submitted from the front ends will be killed when the front ends are rebooted for their patching.
- All Pleiades nodes (including GPUs) will be in dedicated time; jobs will be drained from the nodes prior to 6:00 a.m. (PT) on Tuesday, November 8.
- Pleiades front ends (PFEs) and Lou front ends (LFEs) will be unavailable during this period.
- The NAS Data Portal will be unavailable during this period.
