Reminder: Requests for Computing Time for the 2023 Operational Year Due July 2013 Jul, 2022
All NASA mission directorates—Aeronautics Research Mission Directorate (ARMD), Exploration Systems Development Mission Directorate (ESDMD), NASA Engineering and Safety Center (NESC), Science Mission Directorate (SMD), Space Operations Mission Directorate (SOMD), and Space Technology Mission Directorate (STMD)—are currently gathering requests for High-End Computing (HEC) time on resources at the NASA Advanced Supercomputing (NAS) facility for awards to begin October 1, 2022. ARMD, ESDMD, NESC, SMD, SOMD, and STMD managers will consider eligible requests submitted via the HEC Request Management System (RMS) to the rolling submission calls by the July 20, 2022 deadline. For work that is supported by NASA outside of ARMD, ESDMD, NESC, STMD, SOMD, and SMD, you may renew your project(s) and apply for time under the MISC (miscellaneous) category. The MISC category does not have a share of HEC resources, so requests will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis with no guarantee of an award of computer time. For Continuing Projects
Note: You should only submit a new request if significant changes to the project are required. For minor updates, such as a new WBS or new funding manager, please contact support@hec.nas.nasa.gov. Projects that do not have an FY23 allocation will be disabled on September 30, 2022. For New Projects For new projects, please submit a request if:
To submit your request, go to https://request.hec.nasa.gov. Note: As of February 2021, all mission directorates now use the HEC Request Management System (RMS). If you previously used e-Books, your account was migrated to RMS. If you have not activated your migrated account, please contact support@hec.nasa.gov. Get information on currently available HEC resources. You will receive a HEC award notice before the start date for the award. For questions on the allocation process or your specific project, please contact support@hec.nasa.gov. |
