August 2: Dedicated Time for All NAS Systems and Lou

All NAS computing systems and the Lou mass storage system will be unavailable on Tuesday, August 2, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. (Pacific Time) to facilitate system patching.

The following services will be affected:

  • Aitken, Pleiades, Electra, and Endeavour will not be available during this period.
  • All jobs running when the dedicated time begins will be suspended for the duration and resumed when patching is complete.
  • Lou front ends (LFEs) will be unavailable during this period. Interactive PBS jobs (jobs created with "qsub -I") submitted from the LFEs will be killed when the LFEs are rebooted for their patching.
  • Pleiades front ends (PFEs) will remain available during this period.
