NVIDIA K40 (Sandy Bridge Nodes) to be Decommissioned on September 1

12 Aug, 2022

The High-End Computing Capability (HECC) Project continually examines the cost effectiveness of operating its resources. After careful analysis, we have determined that it is no longer cost effective to support the NVIDIA K40 (Sandy Bridge) system, and it will be decommissioned on September 1, 2022 at 7:00 a.m.(Pacific Time). The Pleiades NVIDIA K40 nodes went into production on March 17, 2015, giving them a viable lifetime of more than seven years.

Be sure to check your job submission scripts and processes to minimize disruption to your workflow.
