Status of DMZ File Servers

04 Mar, 2015

Thanks to everyone who took the time to reply to our request for feedback on the DMZ file servers. Based on your responses, we brought dmzfs1 back up using repurposed hardware; there may be other hardware changes to dmzfs1 in the near future. The dmzfs2 file server is still unavailable.

We will maintain DMZ file server capability for the next three months or more, while we work with users to investigate possible alternative solutions for them. Near the end of this period, we will make a decision about whether to remove the DMZs, given the many other available methods of moving data into and out of the enclave.
