Electra In Production January 1, 2017

01 Jan, 2017

Electra is a 1.2-petaflop system housed in a module outside of the main NAS building. It has 16 Broadwell racks, each containing 72 nodes. Each node contains two 14-core E5-2680v4 (2.4 GHz) processor chips and 128 GB of memory. Electra was ranked #96 on the November, 2016 TOP500 list of the world's most powerful supercomputers.

On January 1, 2017, the system became available to all NAS users who have allocations on Pleiades. Usage of Electra resources will be charged to your Pleiades allocation at the same Standard Billing Unit (SBU) rate as the Pleiades Broadwell nodes.
