Electra Expanded with Intel Skylake Nodes27 Oct, 2017
In September, Electra was expanded with the addition of 1,152 Intel Xeon Gold 6148 "Skylake" nodes. This expansion brings Electra's theoretical peak performance to 4.79—more than half that of Pleiades. After extensive testing by NAS teams and a weeklong period of user testing, the Skylake nodes are now available for production use.
