Suspend/Resume for All NAS Systems, March 12

21 Feb, 2025

A suspend/resume will occur on March 12, 2025 for all HECC systems from 8:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. (Pacific Time) to facilitate patching and maintenance. Visit the Knowledge Base to learn how to manage your jobs before dedicated time.

The following services will be affected:

  • Pleiades, Electra, Endeavour, Aitken, and Cabeus systems will not be available during this period, jobs cannot be submitted, and there will be no access to the Lustre or NFS filesystems.
  • Jobs on Pleiades, Electra, Endeavour, Aitken, Cabeus nodes will be suspended at the beginning of dedicated time and resumed at the end of dedicated time. There should be no other impact to these jobs.
  • Submissions for new jobs on Cabeus' Grace Hopper nodes will be paused starting 3:30 p.m. (PT) on March 11 to allow the system to drain before dedicated time. Any jobs submitted after this time will run after systems return to users.
  • All front ends, including the Lou front ends (LFEs) will be unavailable during this time.
