Access to Some Intel Compilers and VTune Versions Will Be Restricted on March 17

07 Mar, 2025

As part of our continual updates to supported system modules, we will move the following Intel compilers and VTune modulefiles into a restricted zone on Monday, March 17, 2025. Access to these restricted modules will be limited via an access control list (ACL):

  • Restricted Intel compilers: All Intel compilers version 2018 and older and comp-intel/2019.5.281
  • Restricted VTune versions: 2020.0 and older

If you need continued access to these restricted modulefiles, please send email to support@nas.nasa.gov with the following information:

  • Which older Intel compiler(s) and/or VTune modulefiles do you need?
  • How long do you expect to have a continued need for those older Intel compiler(s) and/or VTune modulefiles?
  • Do you need help from the Applications, Performance, and Productivity (APP) Team to migrate your workflow or port your code to the newer Intel compiler(s) and/or VTune modulefiles?

Note: In the future, all of these restricted Intel compilers and VTune modules will be removed from the NAS environment. The time frame for their removal will be determined at a later date.

If you have any questions or need assistance, please reach out via support@nas.nasa.gov.
