Cart3D is an outgrowth of ongoing research in Cartesian mesh methods for CFD performed jointly by NASA Ames and the Courant Institute at NYU.  It supports NASA's Exploration Systems, Aeronautics Research, Science, Space Operations, and Space Technology Mission Directorates. Work at NYU has been funded through NASA, the AFOSR and the Department of Energy.
