The NASA Software Catalog
The
NASA Software
Catalog is the easiest way to get a copy
of Cart3D. From the catalog's home page you can simply
search for cart3d and it will take you to the Cart3D
download page. Those working for a
federal agency
or anyone in industry or academia holding an
active federal government contract
can request a copy
directly through the
Software Catalog. If you're looking
to get a copy for purely commercial purposes, it's best
to go thought one of the licensees. Many government
users also elect to go through a commercial
licensee, since they offer support, training, GUIs,
CAD integration and support a wider array of
platforms. For direct-from-NASA licensing, or for purely educational use at an accredited
educational institution see the licensing
page.
I want to fill out
paperwork by hand
If you love paperwork and work for the
federal government or if you work for a non-NASA
federal government agency, you can obtain the
software through a Software Use Agreement.
To get these forms, contact:
hong.v.vong@nasa.gov.
Send the
appropriate form back to the Ames Technology
Transfer Office.
If you have questions, contact information is below.
I am a current Cart3D user covered
by an SUA or FGTL, just sent me an update
Sure! If you downloaded from the NASA
Software Catalog, just go there and get the latest copy. If you filled
out your Software Usage Agreement by hand,
contact us and we'll setup a download.
Please include both
1. A description of platform you're
running on (best is to send the output of
"% uname -a) and
2. The current distribution that
you're working from (found in $CART3D/VERSIONS)
