Acknowledgments

The development and continued progress of LAVA has been made possible through the generous funding and support of multiple NASA programs and projects across the agency. We are deeply grateful to the following mission directorates and their associated programs and projects. We are also grateful to the predecessor projects and programs whose early investments laid the foundation for the LAVA framework. Their sustained commitment to computational fluid dynamics research made LAVA possible.

Computational Resources

We gratefully acknowledge the NASA Advanced Supercomputing (NAS) Division at NASA Ames Research Center for providing the world-class computational resources that make large-scale LAVA simulations possible and facilitate our development. Through the High End Computing Capability (HECC) program, NAS provides access to state-of-the-art supercomputing systems, mass storage, high-speed networking, and expert IT support that are essential to the continued development, testing, and application of LAVA.

Collaborators

We gratefully acknowledge NVIDIA for their continued support of the LAVA framework through close collaboration, technical guidance, and support for GPU-accelerated development. Access to modern GPU architectures, development tools, and performance engineering expertise has been instrumental in advancing LAVA’s capabilities on heterogeneous computing platforms and in enabling efficient porting and optimization of key solver components.

We gratefully acknowledge the following individuals for their ongoing contributions to the development and advancement of the LAVA framework:
