During the systems downtime over the weekend of August 2-3, NAS facilities personnel cleaned out the cooling tower reservoir and the chillers, in preparation for re-installing the cooling tower water pumps.
Currently, the repaired pumps are scheduled to be installed by Friday, August 8. No additional downtime will be needed to install the pumps or to get the chillers operating again. Assuming that is no slippage in this schedule, the computer systems will be returned to full capacity soon thereafter.
As of today, August 4, the status of NAS resources is as follows:
| Pleiades | Half capacity |
| Westmere | Half |
| Westmere GPU | Full |
| Sandy Bridge | Half |
| Ivy Bridge | Half |
| Endeavour | Full capacity |
| Merope | Full capacity |
| Maia | Down |
| Mira | Down |
| Hyperwall | Down |
| Filesystems | Up |
| Archive | Up |
We continue to do everything possible to get computer operations back to normal as soon as possible.
