Update: HEC Request Management System (RMS) Now Uses Launchpad for Authentication

RMS now uses NASA’s Launchpad for authentication, instead of your RMS username and password. Please see the original notification below for more information.

Original Notification (Dec. 4):

Action required for RMS users:

Before December 16, log into https://request.hec.nasa.gov and click Account  > Update Profile to ensure your contact information is current.

What’s happening:

Beginning December 17, RMS will use NASA’s Launchpad for authentication, instead of your RMS username and password. If you are a user with existing NASA credentials, you will be able to log in using Launchpad as you normally do. New users or returning users without NASA credentials will need to register for a NASA Guest Account prior to logging in. Instructions for this will be provided on the RMS landing page, once the change is implemented.

After December 17, if you are a returning RMS user, the email on file with RMS must match one of the following:

If the email addresses do not match, the accounts will not be linked, and you will not have access to any of your existing RMS requests.

Note: If you are an RMS user who will require a NASA Guest Account to access RMS after December 17, you do not need to create one now; however, you should ensure your RMS profile is current to avoid any future issues.

If you do not have an RMS account, there is no action required.

If you have any questions or need assistance please contact the Control Room at (800) 331-8737, (650) 604-4444, or support@nas.nasa.gov.
