UPDATE: The suspend/resume originally scheduled for Dec. 19 has been cancelled. A new date will be set for this patching work.

There will be a suspend/resume for Pleiades, Electra, and Aitken on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (Pacific Time) to facilitate patching and system maintenance. The following services will be affected:

• Pleiades, Electra, Aitken, and all service nodes within the enclave will be unavailable during this period, jobs cannot be submitted, and there will be no access to the Lustre or NFS filesystems.
• Jobs on the Pleiades, Electra, and Aitken compute nodes will be suspended at the beginning of the period and will be resumed at the end of the period. There should be no other impact to these jobs. Jobs will be paused on these nodes prior to 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 19.
• The secure front ends (SFEs), Pleiades front ends (PFEs), and Lou front ends (LFEs) will be unavailable during this period
