The Lou upgrade is complete, and the system is available. As a reminder, the Lou front-end systems lfe[1-4] were replaced with lfe[5-8]. Please update your scripts accordingly. Also, if your remote site has exceptions in its firewalls for the IP addresses of lfe1-4, those exceptions must be updated to the IP addresses of lfe5-8.

You can still connect to Lou via the load balancer by using ssh lfe or ssh lou. (This is the recommended method.)

During the upgrade process, most files were migrated offline to tape. Please note the following:

• File access will initiate retrieval from tape to disk; however, if you require a significant number of files, we recommend running the dmget command to retrieve them first, in order to minimize load.
• Because most files are currently offline, you may experience unusual delays in file retrieval during the next week or so. For helpful tips, see: Optimizing File Retrieval.

In addition to the LFE upgrades, the Lou data analysis nodes ldan[2-8] were replaced with ldan[11-14], which have significantly larger capacity. For information about using the LDANs, see: Lou Data Analysis Nodes.
