NASA Security Operations Center (SOC)
The NAS Division's 24x7, year-round control room experience and expertise are being leveraged to support NASA's Security Operations Center (SOC). The SOC was established in 2008 to provide a coordinated operational and technical approach to ensuring confidentiality, integrity, and availability for data and information across NASA.
NAS supports the SOC by providing overall management and implementation of the Contact Center, the single point of contact for the agency for IT security incidents.
Incidents are reported via an IT Security Hotline that provides IT security incident management assistance 24x7x365 by phone and through email. Incidents are logged via a password-controlled Incident Management System, where they are tracked and monitored across the agency.
