Supercomputing Systems Services
The HECC Project continually expands the agency's computational capability, which has grown from 4 teraflops in 2004 to 1.2 petaflop/s in 2011.
Recognizing that these upgrades alone will not handle requirements for all NASA missions, we offer our customers the ability to expand on the supercomputing capabilities we provide and, at the same time, take full advantage of our support services and infrastructure.
Our staff will work with supported organizations to augment their computational requirement with the following custom services:
- Procurement Support: Facilitate the acquisition, integration, and operation of additional supercomputing assets to meet unique customer requirements.
- Systems Engineering: Design complex supercomputing, data storage, and visualization systems; and integrate these systems into a cohesive unit.
- System Operation and Management: Employ leading-edge techniques to solve your unique problems, focusing on the end results.
- Management Tool Development: Procure tools when available, and develop custom tools to manage world-class supercomputing environments.
- Custom Storage: Create custom file systems to hold large amounts of temporary data, typically exceeding many terabytes; and address archival mass storage needs.
