Cray Opteron system





CRAY OPTERON CLUSTER

The Cray Opteron, a 64-node cluster, is the latest addition to the set of high-end computing resources at the NAS facility. The system is structured with a single "head" node, which controls the system operation and launches programs, and 63 compute nodes.

Head node: 4 gigabytes (GB) high-speed RAM Compute nodes: 2 GB per node 130 GB total memory

PBS Pro 5.3 job scheduler
Compilers: PGI 64-bit and 32-bit for Fortran, C, and C++
GNU 64-bit and 32-bit for C and C++
