Research Grants

Image of Space Shuttle Launch VehicleUniversity and industry research institutions are important NASA partners in many areas of science and technology. As part of its broadening focus on advancing the field of distributed heterogeneous computing, NAS supports ongoing research efforts in a number of disciplines through the grant process.

From time to time, the Division makes competitive grants available in areas such as scientific visualization, parallel systems software, and nanotechnology. Requests for grant proposals are publicized in the form of NASA Research Announcements (NRAs). All open NRAs are posted by the NASA Ames Grants Office.
