Engineering Branch

The NAS Engineering Branch mission is to develop and provide state-of-the-art computational solutions designed to meet the current and future research needs of NASA customers.

Led by William Thigpen, the Engineering Branch is composed of the following groups:

  • Advanced System Development - migrates promising systems and software applications from research to production.

  • High End Computing - provides a full-service supercomputing facility to the NAS research community.

  • Network Research - installs and maintains networking solutions to meet current and future needs, and advances and implements the state of the art in networking technology.

  • Workplace Environments - provides all aspects of the division’s infrastructure requirements.
