On April 21, 2008, the NASA Advanced Supercomputing (NAS) Division celebrated 25 years of pioneering work in supercomputing, with a day packed with talks by special guest speakers, a video montage of NAS highlights, tours of the NAS supercomputing floor, and stunning scientific visualizations shown on the new 128-screen hyperwall-2 system.

Guests were treated to special talks by some of the NASA visionaries and leaders who got the original NAS program off the ground, current leaders of Agency missions who support and benefit from NAS resources and services, NAS users, and industry partners. The celebration continued at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View with more talks, music by the Ames Jazz band, and a catered reception.

It was a day to look back on with pride, and gave participants a chance to reminisce about the pioneering work done in NAS' early days, find out about the exciting projects NAS is involved in now, and to catch up with friends and colleagues.

For those who were unable to attend or for those who attended but missed some of the giveaways you can download publications and a special video highlighting NAS work over the last quarter-century.
